MEET CLAYTON TAYLOR- OWNER
All American Coin Owner Clayton Taylor was born and raised in beautiful Lexington, Kentucky. He became interested in coins after noticing a few old Lincoln cents at the bottom of a gumball machine received as a gift. Curious about their worth, he bought is first Redbook in 1965, Little did he know that would be his first step into a lifetime of numismatics.
“They say if you love the job you work at it’s like you never worked a day in your life. I love my job but it is work and I am thankful for it and I hope to continue on for another ten years , God willing.”
– Clayton Taylor
His first job in coins was in the Lexington Mall at Lexington Rare Coin Galleries. He studied for his business degree while learning about coins at the same time. That was in 1979 just before the big gold and silver boom and everything took off from there. Since then he has been a full-time coin dealer.
Clayton moved to Fort Myers in 1982 to stay in the south where it’s warm and there are plenty of older coin collections to discover.

DOES ALL AMERICAN COIN OFFER FREE STORAGE?
Some shops offer free storage, we don’t. Here’s why:
What may sound like a good deal for you is really only a good deal for the dealer. You provide him with what amounts to an interest free loan while you assume all the risks. He will sell and rebuy your coins many times over to his advantage. Anything can happen when you do this: burglary, employee theft, fire, loss, robbery or maybe the dealer just sold your coins just to improve his lifestyle.
Also, what happens if the dealer dies or closes shop and moves away? Perhaps you pass away unexpectedly do you want your heirs to have to fight to retrieve your assets? More often than not the dealer just sells the coins to pay off his overhead thinking he will replace them at a later date and it becomes a ponzi scheme. Don’t get entangled in his Bernie Madoff web, the best place for your coins when you buy them is in your hand and store them away someplace safely.
