Atrium to be Demolished

The past home of the Atrium Post Office and All American Coin located at the corner of Winkler road and College parkway in south Fort Myers is about to be torn down. Say goodbye to the 111,000 square foot building which sits on 6.4 acres on one of Fort Myers best commercial locations. It was built as the Rafters Mall in 1979 and housed many offices, businesses, restaurants and even a night club over the years. At the end the Atrium couldn’t survive it’s age, outdated design, lack of maintenance, hurricane Irma, and an amateurish attempted renovation by an inexperienced buyer who had to be evicted. All total it was too much for the old lady to handle and she is to be torn down this summer.

Fort Myers based Fine Mark National Bank and Trust is the new owner of the property and plan to build a three story building with two out parcels to house their new headquarters. However if you are looking for All American Coin or the post office, we haven’t gone far just a block west of the old location at 8841 College Parkway. Stop by sometime and see our new digs.
